Street Tree Watering in the Palisades – Our office is partnering with the Pacific Palisades community, StreetsLA, and Tracey Price of American Growers Company to water hundreds of street trees across the community to ensure they get the care necessary to survive the summer heat. Palisades Community Renewal Center Is Open – The Palisades Community Renewal Center (PCRC) officially opened this month to provide free therapy, art classes, and wellness programs for those affected by the fires. Pacific Palisades Community Council – PPCC held their meeting on Thursday, September 11 with representatives from the Bureau of Engineering (BOE) in attendance to discuss ongoing and future Palisades infrastructure projects including work on Posetano Road and Bienveneda Avenue.
Calvary Christian Community Reflection – Thank you to Lead Pastor Justin Anderson and Head of School Vince Downey for opening your doors to families and sharing a powerful documentary about the Palisades fire — an honest reminder of our community’s resilience across our schools, faith congregations, and neighborhoods.
Los Angeles Conservation Corps Projects – LACC work continues in the Palisades. Crews are clearing burned and dry brush, reopening pathways, and reducing fire fuel in public spaces. This work will continue for several more weeks.
