Access Expanded Mortgage Relief: On Thursday, Governor Newsom announced an expansion of the state’s CalAssist program, increasing the relief period from three to twelve months of mortgage payments and making available up to $100,000 per household. The income limits have been increased to a combined total of $281,400 in annual income. Learn more here and apply here!  

Enjoy a Free Family Event, “Brunchin' With Dads”: YMCA Friends and Family are invited to a fun-filled brunch at Simon Meadow on Saturday, February 28, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Attendees can enjoy a variety of games, including board games, card games, giant Connect Four and Jenga, sporting inflatables, and bocce. The event offers an opportunity for dads and kids to connect, play, and meet other families in the community. Brunch will be provided by Palisades Garden Cafe for all participants. This free event is open to everyone, and no YMCA membership is required.

Join a “Breakfast with the Assessor” Event: The Palisades Recovery Coalition invites the community to attend an in-person breakfast event featuring Los Angeles County Assessor Jeff Prang. This conversation will focus on the tax implications of fire recovery, including topics such as insurance payouts, mortgage forbearance, and property assessments. Community members are encouraged to attend to learn more and ask questions.

Attend the PaliBu Chamber Recovery Expo: A free community event hosted by the Malibu-Pacific Palisades Chamber of Commerce focused on advancing rebuilding efforts across Malibu and Pacific Palisades. This outdoor event will bring together contractors, city departments, resources, services, and local vendors to help survivors navigate the recovery and rebuilding process. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect, gather important information, enjoy great food, and support the community’s continued path forward. Sunday, February 22, held outdoors in the heart of the Palisades at 880 Alma Real Drive from 11 AM to 2 PM. 

Come to the Next “Art for Healing” Event: Join your friends and community members on Saturday, February 21 from 1-3 PM at the Palisades Recovery Coalition HQ (15235 La Cruz Drive Pacific Palisades, CA 90272) to paint and heal with a local therapist and recovery counselor. This is an opportunity to reflect, find support, and move forward side by side, using creativity as a pathway toward healing and renewed connection. 

The Palisades Inspections & Permitting Support Center (PIPSC) is Now Open: Thanks to LADWP’s hard work, the PIPSC is open at 16925 Marquez Avenue Pacific Palisades, CA 90272 right next to Marquez Elementary. Stop by Monday through Friday between 9 AM and 5 PM to speak with LADWP and City department representatives about any questions or concerns you have with your rebuild. 

Check your Voter Registration: The LA County Registrar will be setting up a table at the Palisades Recovery Coalition (next to Palisades Garden Cafe) starting Friday, February 13 and every other Friday thereafter until the election, to assist community members with voter registration and ensure they are registered in the correct district.

Stop by the Palisades Post Office: The Palisades Post Office is up and running!  All community members are welcome to stop by with their postal needs.

Visit the Palisades Library: The Palisades temporary mobile library is open and ready to welcome visitors. Library staff are working hard to secure books and materials to ensure full access for the community.

Commercial Property Owners Recovery Charrette: Team CD11 was happy to join and support Palisades commercial property owners as they navigate rebuilding, recovery, and resilient planning for our commercial corridors—organized by the Palisades Recovery Coalition.

Pali LTRG Senior Valentine's Day Luncheon: The CD11 team was happy to join and support Pacific Palisades seniors at the Pali LTRG Seniors Valentine’s “Day” Lunch—sharing a meaningful afternoon of connection, care, and conversation around post-disaster recovery.

Santa Ynez Reservoir Floating Cover Replacement Progress: The Westgate Trunkline, a 36” diameter water supply line, continues to be the main water supply source to the Pacific Palisades. During ongoing cover replacement work, LADWP deployed six miles of hose with booster pumps to move water from Corbin Tank to Temescal Tank if there is a service interruption.
