Palisades Riviera Block Party - The Palisades Riviera HOA brought the community together for their annual block party — great food, fun games, and even better company! Huge thanks to the organizers and HOA for such a beautiful celebration of unity!

Pacific Palisades Hillside Task Force – The 2025 task force included members of the Pacific Palisades Task Force on Homelessness, LAPD, LA City Park Rangers, CD11 staff, and other community partners. Together, the volunteer teams located and cleared abandoned camps and trash from Temescal Canyon Road, the Corona del Mar bluffs, and other hillside areas. This important community effort helps keep our hillsides clean and safe, reducing fire risk in high-severity zones and strengthening our shared commitment to wildfire prevention and public safety.

Wildfire Rebuilding Expo Event - this afternoon on Saturday, October 25 from 1-3 PM, the US Green Building Council’s California chapter and Resilient Palisades are hosting a free exposition event designed to connect families who are rebuilding with the best information and materials to build back in a sustainable and fire resilient way. More details can be found here on their event page.

Halloween in the Palisades -  head on down to Rustic Canyon Recreation Center this afternoon 4-8 PM for a frightfully fun Halloween celebration. Enjoy games, snacks, a moonbounce, and a haunted house! Be sure to dress to impress – costume contests will be held for children in two age groups: 0-6 years and 7-12 years, starting at 5 PM. A dog costume contest will follow.

Temescal Canyon Dog Park Community Meeting – Join CD11 and the Department of Recreation & Parks on Thursday, Nov 6th from 5-6pm to discuss updates related to the dog park coming to Temescal Canyon!

Temescal Canyon Mural Cleanup - Join your neighbors on November 15th and 16th, 2025, for a Mural Bubblebath at the Temescal Canyon Mural (Temescal & Bowdoin)! Volunteers will work together to clean the cherished 552-foot community landmark ahead of its full restoration. Supplies and snacks are provided but please bring sun protection and wear clothes that can get dirty. Sign up for a 3-hour volunteer shift here!

Mortgage Relief Update - Governor Newsom announced that the State is expanding the CalAssist Mortgage Fund Disaster Relief Program by increasing its income limits to $211,050 for families in Los Angeles County. Check your eligibility and apply here!

LADWP Billing - At the end of August, LADWP resumed meter reading and billing in the Palisade for those who have active water and/or electrical service. To assist customers with delayed bills, extended payment options will be available, allowing them to pay over time. Additionally, accounts in Pacific Palisades will be exempt from collections activity for the rest of 2025. During this period, any outstanding balances will not be considered late, even if a bill indicates a "past due amount." More information can be found here. For questions and concerns, please contact PalisadesRebuild@ladwp.com

Palisades Community Renewal Center - the PCRC is open at 3212 Nebraska Avenue in Santa Monica and is providing counseling, arts programming, and workshops to support the emotional and community wellbeing of Palisades residents as they move through their recovery. More information on their programming can be found here
