PRC’s Final Visioning Charrette - The final Visioning Charrette took place on December 13, concluding a series of community-led workshops hosted and architected by the Palisades Recovery Coalition. Designed to elevate resident voices, these neighborhood-based sessions focused on resilient rebuilding rooted in local character and street-level priorities. Facilitated by RAND and AIA volunteers, the charrettes were structured as working conversations among neighbors—not lectures—about the future of the Palisades after the fire. The CD11 team was pleased to join PRC in supporting this important component of the broader Pacific Palisades Rebuild and Recovery. Stay tuned as the community recovery effort continues and transitions into focused working groups through Community Recovery Labs.
LACC Sunset Cleanup - LACC continues its cleanup work along Sunset Boulevard. In preparation for Palisades High School’s reopening, Council District 11 directed the team to clean Sunset Boulevard between Temescal Canyon Road and North Almar Avenue. Cleanup efforts will continue along Sunset Boulevard over the next few weeks.
Community Cleanup - Last weekend’s community cleanup was a great success! We thank all the volunteers who participated and helped make the day so impactful. We also extend our deepest gratitude to the organizations that supported this effort, including Athens Services, Home Depot, SoCalGas, MRCA, LACC, CRCD, CD11 Foundation and our many partners from the Palisades. Special thanks to the Palisades Recovery Coalition for providing space and for their continued support of the community.
Pali LTRG Seniors Holiday Luncheon - Pali Long Term Recovery Group (LTRG) hosted its second Senior Luncheon at the American Legion Post in Pacific Palisades. It was an afternoon filled with joy, warmth, and togetherness. Heartfelt thanks to the organizers and dedicated volunteers who generously served our seniors and helped make this gathering so special.

Early arrivals will receive gift cards on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. The event will take place at the Collins & Katz Family YMCA on Sunday, December 21, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The YMCA looks forward to welcoming families for a festive day of giving, support, and holiday cheer.
A Message from LADWP on the Santa Ynez Reservoir:
“Santa Ynez Reservoir Cover Replacement Project Status
The Santa Ynez Reservoir is currently filled to its normal operating level and has been back in service since June 25, 2025, following emergency repairs that were made to its cover after the Palisades Fire. While these repairs allowed the reservoir to resume normal operations, replacement with a new cover will provide stronger resilience, protect water quality, and ensure continued compliance with drinking water standards and regulations.
LADWP has placed an order for a new floating cover and is in the planning and procurement stages of the replacement project. We will be conducting public outreach regarding the project and contingency measures prior to the project beginning in early 2026.
LADWP is working closely with City partners, including the Los Angeles Fire Department, to ensure redundant water supplies are available throughout the replacement project.
Proactively replacing the cover is an important interim step to avoid unexpected tears to the repaired cover that could force the reservoir out of service. It is far better to plan with contingencies in place, than to have more tears develop.
Santa Ynez Reservoir will remain in service until the new cover is ready, the community is informed, the contractor is ready and contingency measures are in place.”
